Cannes (MIDEM)

MHD returns to MIDEM for the 4th time!

About MIDEM Hack Day

The MIDEM Hack Day is our way of showing the MIDEM attendees a cross section of the hacks that have been built across the year, and to show them just how much can be achieved by letting 30 developers spend a weekend hacking on open data and innovative music APIs.

It’s important to note that this won’t be a normal Music Hack Day, which are usually held separately to any other events, as well as being completely open and free to attend. But it will very much held in the spirit of it Music Hack Day. The previous 3 years at MIDEM have been a great way to showcase to a MIDEM audience what is possible when you bring the worlds of developers, APIs and music together.

Whilst everyone treads the floors of the busy conference, 30 music hackers from a range of disciplines and companies will be elsewhere in the Palais, getting together to build some compelling new music apps in roughly 48 hours.

These new apps will be unveiled and demonstrated at the end of the MIDEM Hack Day and will also be accompanied by two other sessions to give the opportunity for MIDEM delegates to come along and find out more about what Music Hack Day is and why we do it.
